Journeys Venue is a wedding venue situated in Midrand, Centurion, making it conveniently located for those residing in, or visiting Gauteng. We can seat a maximum of 250 people per function and offer venue exclusivity for every booking. We are happy to be unique and different in our tailor-made wedding package approach, offer cost-effective weddings with a selection of décor, venue hire and catering options included.

We offer you an idyllic setting with beautifully detailed gardens, water features and three separate venues including our chapel, outside veranda and our traditional indoor reception venue, which houses a fully licensed bar and smoking area. We can also accommodate garden weddings, in a separate stunning outdoor area.

Certainly! We are pleased to inform you that we do have a fully stocked bar with a valid liquor license. Our cash bar offers a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.
Yes we do. We understand the importance of providing convenient payment options to our customers, and accepting card payments is one of the ways we strive to enhance your experience.
First and foremost, we take pride in providing a comprehensive beverage service that is tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of the wedding party and their guests. At our wedding venue we unfortunately do not allow the wedding party to supply their own drinks and beverages. If you do have any specific needs and preferences please ensure to communicate this to management.
Journeys Venue does serve Halal food, as we understand and respect the dietary needs and preferences of our diverse clientele.
Yes we do allow own catering. We understand that couples may have specific culinary preferences, dietary restrictions, or cultural traditions that they would like to incorporate into their special day. Please refer to our T’s & C’s or contact us directly for more information.
We are pleased to inform you that Journeys Venue does provide facilities for the bride, groom and bridal party to get dresses on their special day. If you’re interested in this option, please contact management.

CONFIRMATION OF FUNCTION DATE:

Journeys Wedding Venue requires a payment of R5000.00 to secure the date of the function.

Upon making payment of the R5 000.00, clients acknowledge the terms and conditions hereunder.

DEPOSIT / FULL PAYMENT: 

A deposit of R20 000 will be required. The R20 000 will constitute an initial payment of R5000, which will be payable to secure the the date of the function.  A payment plan for the remaining R15 000.00 of the deposit can be arranged upon request, but will be subject to the discretion of Journeys Wedding Venue.  The deposit amount is payable 90 days before the function date. The final quoted amount as at 90 days prior to the function date will be due and payable 60 days before the date of the function. Any additional expenses incurred after 60 days prior to the date of the function will be immediately payable.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES:  REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE FEE

Any extra costs incurred on the day of the function must be settled immediately after the event, before leaving the function venue. This includes, but is not limited to bar tabs and additional accommodation.

Acceptable methods of payment for any last-minute charges are cash, credit card or debit card.

BREAKAGE DEPOSIT:

Any damaged or lost items will be charged for accordingly.

This includes any dry cleaning needed for the venue & guesthouse linen.

DEADLINE:

Final arrangements regarding the function must be communicated (30 Days) prior to the function date.

VENUE OPERATING HOURS:

The Bar will call final rounds at 23h30.

The music will be turned off and the venue vacated at 00h00.

These times may be subject to change by prior arrangement with management.

PROHIBITED:

Alcohol, food, or beverages are NOT ALLOWED to be brought onto the premises without prior permission from management.

Any conduct in this nature will result in the function being terminated immediately and the forfeiture of the breakage deposit (See Refundable Breakage Deposit).

Guests are NOT ALLOWED to enter the parking area unsupervised, (accompanied by the security guard) during function hours.

Guests are prohibited from playing music or making noise in any area on the premises before the commencement of the function and/or during the function and/or after the function has concluded at 00h00.

Children are NOT ALLOWED in the gardens, bathrooms, or any area on our premisses without adult supervision.Guests are NOT ALLOWED to enter any of the flower beds or water features under any circumstances.

MUSIC:

Function music must be played within parameters as determined by the Health and Safety Department and is subject to a limit of 84DB.

CANCELLATION FEE:

1. If a function is cancelled or postponed by the client for whatever reason and a replacement function is found,fees will be paid back to the original client when a new client has paid the full deposit, being R20 000.00.The cancellation will be subject to a R5 000.00 admin fee irrespective of the new client's payment of R20 000.00

2. If a function is cancelled or postponed by the client for whatever reason and no replacement function is found, theclient will forfeit the monies paid in accordance with the payment schedule. If the client has made a forward payment in respect of the payment schedule, these monies will be refunded.

3. If a function is cancelled or postponed by the client for whatever reason within 30 days prior to the function date,the client will forfeit any and all monies paid.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE FEE:

Clients will be provided with the amount for the refundable breakage deposit fee as per the final quote 90 days prior to the function date. Clients will be liable for any breakages, losses, defamation (See Defamation), any unforeseen costs incurred or penalties imposed by Journeys Wedding Venue. The occurance of any of the aforementioned will result a forfeiture of the breakage deposit fee proportionate to the loss suffered.

GENERAL:

10% Gratuity will be added on any tab.

It is the bride and grooms’ responsibility to advise/educate all guests regarding all our terms and conditions.

Any client or guest who fails to comply with the terms and conditions or who maliciously and/or purposely interferes with the business operations of Journeys Wedding Venue will be met with the following consequences:

- Cancellation of the function with immediate effect.

- Forfeiting all monies paid.

- Legal action.

Lost keys or damage to locks: 

The cost for replacement of lost room keys or damaged locks will be charged to the client and will be determined based on the repair cost or replacement thereof, including the locksmith fees.

An additional R300.00 administrative fee will be charged to facilitate the repair or replacement.

Discounts and special function offers will only be valid if the quoted amount, as at 90 days prior to the function date, has been paid in full  (60 Days) prior to the function.

POWER:

In the case of any power outages, due to load shedding or any other electrical grid issues, prior, during and/or after the function , where the fault cannot be attributed to Journeys Wedding Venue, a generator is available on the premises.

The fee charged (on a minimum 30-minute basis) will be calculated at the rate of the current diesel price.

KITCHEN:

Guests are not allowed behind the bar and/or in the kitchen and/or the scullery and/or storage areas of Journeys Wedding Venue under any circumstances.

No takeaway food from a function is permitted.

RIGHT OF ADMISSION AND INDEMNITY:

Right of admission reserved.

Journeys Wedding Venue, which includes its employees will not accept liability for any personal injury or damage to the property of guests suffered whilst on its premises.

If any guest concerned fails to comply with any of the above mentioned terms, the function will be terminated immediately and any monies paid will be forfeited.

SELF-CATERING:

Self-catering only applies to food.

Alcohol or any beverages are not allowed to be brought onto the premises for self-catering functions.

Journeys Wedding Venue's kitchen will not be available for any preparation or cooking purposes in the event of self-catering.

CATERING:

In the event of Journeys Wedding Venue granting permission to bring in any additional food, Journeys Wedding Venue will not accept any responsibility regarding quantities or dietary requirements approved by the Health and Safety Department.

ACCOMMODATION:

Our accommodation is an overnight facility. The communal kitchen is equipped with a 2 plate gas stove and kettle for tea and coffee purposes only. No other catering facilities are available.

We unfortunately do not supply towels or any toiletries.

All bathrooms are equipped with gas geysers.

DEFAMATION:

Journeys Wedding Venue encourages its clients and their guests to provide feedback to help us better the experience for future clients and guests. We will however not tolerate defamatory conduct on any social media or public outlets. Clients and their guests should take note that any social media posts, which contain slanderous, untruthful or defamatory statements, will constitute a forfeiture of the breakage deposit fee and subsequent legal action.

Any clients and/or guests posting defamatory statements on social media or any public outlets without first consulting management of Journeys Wedding Venue over any perceived issues could be met with legal action.
